In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful On Iraqi Sovereignty Day, we recall a profound meaning that extends beyond the occasion itself to the very essence of belonging to the nation. Iraq’s sovereignty means sovereignty over its decisions, the dignity of its people, the strength of its institutions, and its ability to shape its future through the will, minds, and efforts of its people. Building the state and safeguarding its independence cannot be achieved through strength alone, but rather through science and knowledge, respect for the law, the promotion of the values of citizenship, and the development of individuals capable of shouldering the responsibilities of the present and shaping the future. Accordingly, Iraqi universities bear a significant national responsibility, as they cultivate the minds that will lead the process of development and advancement across all fields of life.
