Dr. Mustafa Muhannad Zaki, a faculty member at the College of Medicine, has published a research study in Frontiers in Medicine, an international journal indexed in Scopus and ranked in the first quartile (Q1). The study examined the relationship between a previous COVID-19 infection and the diagnostic criteria for Fibromyalgia through a comparative study involving 500 participants, with the aim of investigating the association between a history of COVID-19 infection and the development of symptoms and criteria associated with the disorder.

Ibn Sina University Holds Meeting to Discuss the Preparation of the 2027 Federal Budget Estimates

Ibn Sina University of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences held a meeting to discuss the preparation of the University`s budget estimates for the 2027 Federal Budget. The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Haider Wahab Al-Sarhan, Vice President for Scientific Affairs, with the participation of Professor Dr. Safaa Jawad Kadhim, Dean of the College of Medicine; Professor Dr. Baidaa Ali Othman, Dean of the College of Dentistry; and the Directors of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department and the Financial Audit and Control Department. During the meeting, participants reviewed the requirements for preparing the University`s budget estimates in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. They also discussed the financial requirements of the University`s colleges and administrative departments, ensuring alignment with its academic and administrative plans, as well as the development projects scheduled for implementation during the coming period.

President of Ibn Sina University Participates as an Examiner in the MRCP PACES Clinical Examination in London

Upon the invitation of the Royal College of Physicians in London, Professor Dr. Abbas Naji Al-Shareeifi, President of Ibn Sina University of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, participated as an examiner in the MRCP PACES (Practical Assessment of Clinical Examination Skills) examination, held at Central Middlesex Hospital in London. The examination was conducted over two days and brought together a distinguished panel of examiners from the United Kingdom and abroad. The MRCP PACES examination is the final clinical assessment required to obtain specialist certification in Internal Medicine. It is conducted by the Royal Colleges both in the United Kingdom and at accredited international examination centres, in accordance with the highest academic and professional standards.

Ibn Sina University Conducts Mandatory Professional Development Course on Energy Sustainability, Environmental Protection, and Occupational Safety

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Abbas Naji Al-Shareeifi, President of Ibn Sina University of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Department of Quality Assurance and academic Performance, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Department at the University Presidency, organized a mandatory professional development course on energy sustainability, environmental protection, and occupational safety. The two-day course was held at Al-Razi Hall and was designated for staff members eligible for job promotion. The course aimed to enhance the knowledge and professional competencies of faculty members and employees included in the promotion process by raising awareness of energy sustainability concepts, environmental protection practices, and occupational safety principles, in line with institutional development requirements and quality standards in higher education institutions.
